Indian Penal Code, 1860, Section 504,506,498-A, 406, 34 AND 120-B – Matrimonial Dispute – Quashing of FIR – As per statement of wife she has amicably resolved the dispute with all the accused persons – Settlement arrived at her own free will, without any kind of pressure – Statement of wife that she has no objection to quashing of FIR as she does not wish to proceed matter any longer – As per report of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate compromise between parties is genuine, arrived voluntary, without any fear or force – None of petitioners reported to be proclaimed offender -No useful purpose would be served by continuance of proceedings – Hence, FIR liable to be quashed.
